That is why the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering is urging the public to use Registered Plumbing and Heating Professionals. Because individuals cannot join the Register unless they have proved their competence, consumers know they can expect the job to be carried out professionally and to a good standard.
Members have to abide by a Code of Professional Standards and are encouraged to update their skills through Continuing Professional Development (CPD). With the increasing demand for renewable technologies, this is very important.
